Zamboanga City: Alavar's Restaurant

One of the sought-after restaurants here in Zamboanga is the Alavar's  Seafood Restaurant.
It's a must-try restaurant for tourists and alike because of its famous Curacha dish.

While we were waiting for our food,
I managed to have a quick look at their souvenir section where you can take home
some items like sardines, bagoong, peanuts, Alavar's sauce and a lot more.

Meanwhile, the food that we ordered started to arrive.
We're all excited because we're soo hungry. :p

Zamboanga City : Nor Alberto's Restaurant

Short after our minute city tour,
time to feed our hungry tummies. Yey!!
Eating is often my favorite part whenever I travel. Hihi!

For our lunch, we ate at Nor Alberto's.
The restaurant is nothing fancy.
But mind you, the food was marvelous yet affordable. :)

We had the black soup called Tsula Itum, pansit canton, rice, fish, chop suey, and others.
It was tummy filling.  :)

Pre-Birthday Dinner at Ocean Basket

Last Tuesday, I had my early day at work, and this is the day!!!
A pre-birthday dinner for ate Monins!! ^_^

It's time to try the Ocean Basket!!
So excited!!!
It's a South African restaurant which opened last year.
This is part of the international expansion of the famous seafood restaurant chain of South Africa.

My gals have tried it before but because my roommate had her cravings, so they have to give in.
And this time I am with them.
Wooohooo!

While waiting for our orders,
we were served with bread, butter and a few dips - garlic, green pepper, and tartar.

For our main course,
we had a Full Deck Platter which consists of 30 pcs of Prince Prawns, Mussels,
Calamari Steak Strips, fries, rice and the Catch of the Day.
This can be shared by 4 people.
Awesome right?

Gone Japanese : Tokyo Restaurant

The quest for a place where and what to eat is quite a challenge for a majority of us.
A struggle unless you have a specific craving that makes your life a little easier.

Initially, we planned to eat at Noodle House, but after a few days, Macaroni Grill came about.

But on the day itself, we decided to have sushi,
so we headed to Tokyo Restaurant.

We remained inside the car while waiting for the prayer time to finish.

When they finally opened the door,
*a signal that the prayer time has ended*
we immediately look for a lovely spot to dine.
We chose the one in the corner where the walls are made of bricks.
One has to be quick or else you will have to wait.
Reservation's a must though, especially during the weekend.

The bricked walls added to the feeling that you're in a fancy restaurant.
Thus taking photos will be wonderful.

Steaky Night

Once upon a time,

I got a little board of my life in the sandbox.

Sleep. Wake Up.  Work.  Go Home.  Then Sleep Again.

Too conventional.  Too ordinary.   Sooo plain.

Until, I asked one of my colleagues if we could do something fun.

We thought of eating somewhere.
A dinner, perhaps.

After exploring a number of restaurants, our eyes gleamed at LongHorn SteakHouse.

It's a steakhouse chain that caters grilled beef and other American dishes in a ranch-style ambiance.

Yakimix Experience

I told myself,

I will go and eat in an eat-all-you-can restaurant went I go home.
I dreamt of Korean and Japanese cuisines
Hmmm... yum!!

But because such delicacies is an arm and a leg here,
I usually delay my cravings until I'm home.

So one day,
Ate Fe, eldest sibling of my boyfriend, asked us if we would like to join them.
I forgot the specific occasion but since we were just in the area, we decided to hopped in.

The diner was almost loaded and we didn't made the necessary reservations,
(though walk-ins are welcome)
so we ended up sitting far-flung from their table.  :(

Anyway, that didn't hinder us from enjoying and filling our hungry tummies.
