Banana Nutella Matcha Crepe

I've been thinking about making this for quite sometime already and Yey!!!
I got the time and the mood to do it.  WOohoo!

Well, I took the recipe from the internet and it's very simple.  And I would like to share it with you just in case you wanted to indulge in this sinful food.

Ingredients:

2/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon Matcha Green Tea Powder
Pnch of salt
1 Large Egg
1 cup milk
Butter for the pan
Banana (or any fruit that you'd like to mix in)
Nutella

Directions:

1. Combine the flour, salt and matcha powder in a medium bowl.  Whisk together.
2. Add the egg and half of the milk.  Whisk until smooth then add remaining half of the milk and whisk again.
3. Melt the butter in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
4. Pour in about 1/3 cup of the batter into the center of the pan.  Immediately tilt and swirl the pan, allowing the batter to fill out the pan.  Do this quickly as possible.
5. Cook the crepe over 15 sec and using a spatula, turn the crepe on the other side and cook it for about 15 sec.
6. Once cook, transfer the crepe on a plate.  Spread Nutella and put banana over it.  Then flip on the sides.
7. Eat immediately.  Enjoy!

* You may add whipping cream and other nibbles like cocoa nibs to add a variety of taste.

Patchi Chocolates

Yey!  Finally, I got to go to one of the most luxurious chocolate shops in the universe.
P-A-T-C-H-I!!!
According to its history,
Patchi chocolates were just a dream of an 11-year old boy that came true when it rose in the market in 1974 in Beirut, Lebanon.
At Patchi, the Maison uses the highest quality ingredients in creating the best chocolates.
They don't use colorings or preservatives.
The process is very fussy that transformation is perfect.  - (patchi.com)
When we went in, it was intimidating yet astonishing.
I guess the display and the lighting did the trick. Haha!
We strolled around the shop, inquired about the cost of the chocolates and the salesman there told me that the regular chocolates cost
190SR / kg
while the special ones cost 220 SR/kg.
I find it good enough since it's way expensive if you purchase it in Manila, Philippines.
It was pretty amazing that their chocolates have cute packaging and presentation. :)
But mind you, their tastes are the same. :)

They have chocolates also in special packages like the ones below.
The costs are a bit higher because of the packaging. :)

They got cute packages for kids and kids at heart. :)
It's hard to tell which one am I since we're talking about chocolates. Haha!

After some time of exploring,
I finally decided to buy a kilo of both chocolates, the regular and the special ones.
Maybe that's enough for my family and friends. :)
I hope they will love it as I love them too. :)

Chimney Sunday

Advance Happy Eid everyone!!!!

Today, we celebrated the day at Bistro Chimney Cake near Thumamah Road.
Bistro Chimney Cake is a bakery and coffee house that they introduce in the Middle East that has a
traditional touch of Transylvanian recipes.
It offers a sweet, crunchy, fluffy and irresistable pastry that originated from Eastern Europe.

When we went there, we initially had our seats outside.
The surrounding was pitch dark despite the lighting that they have.
Though the ambiance gives you a cozy feel.
It was also hot outside as it's still summer here.
But they provided us with a huge fan with mist.
So it did the drill.
When we were seated,
Kuya, our waiter, handed us the menu.
We enthusiasically browse them and asked questions about the menu.
Good thing, Kuya was generous enough to provide us with all the answers.
When the orders were being prepared,
we killed time by exploring the insides of the bistro.
We took tons of photos. Haha!

Fruit Parfait Fiesta

In the Philippines, we usually eat out and chill after work.
It's our way of de-stressing ourselves and top up our energies.

she's elated that we're going to eat something Korean finally:))
So the next Tuesday, as I was going home from work early,
we called and hopped into a cab and poof!!!
Off we went to this remarkable Korean restaurant, the Korean Palace.

I've been here quite a few times already. :)
And it's not bad coming back as their food is delicious. :)

So what did we have that night?
Scroll down. :)

Beef Bihon Noodles

Beef Bulgogi
Mixed Seafood Platter

Notes: Not in the photos are the kimchi,  the bean sprouts with garlic and chilies and the fried rice

When everything was served, and we're done taking snapshots of our food,
we took a few group photos and dug in. :)

Our tummies were not the only one festive after the overflowing dinner, so as our pockets too.
