Gone Japanese : Tokyo Restaurant

The quest for a place where and what to eat is quite a challenge for a majority of us.
A struggle unless you have a specific craving that makes your life a little easier.

Initially, we planned to eat at Noodle House, but after a few days, Macaroni Grill came about.

But on the day itself, we decided to have sushi,
so we headed to Tokyo Restaurant.

We remained inside the car while waiting for the prayer time to finish.

When they finally opened the door,
*a signal that the prayer time has ended*
we immediately look for a lovely spot to dine.
We chose the one in the corner where the walls are made of bricks.
One has to be quick or else you will have to wait.
Reservation's a must though, especially during the weekend.

The bricked walls added to the feeling that you're in a fancy restaurant.
Thus taking photos will be wonderful.

As usual, we took selfies as we wait for our orders.

We were served with Miso soup first.
Although I've read in some blogs that they had soup and salad as starters.

Then the 3 sets of mixed maki (12 pcs each) came.
It's a combination of eel, salmon and California Maki. :)
Yum!!!
And the wasabi was divine as it passes through your nostrils as you munch. Haha!

Then ate Bing got her Chicken Katsu while Kuya had Ten Don.
Ate Bing was quite satisfied with her choice as she was able to finish her meal.
Kuya, oppositely, took time finishing his dish.
According to him, the sauce that went with the rice was sweet.
Not his thing though.

On the other hand, Ruby and I took the Yakisoba since Ramen wasn't available. :(

The Yakisoba wasn't gratifying as well.
It was too sweet that after a few bites you'd want to stop eating.
I think that the Nissin Cup Noodles Yakisoba taste better than this, sad to say.

We then asked for our dessert, the Green Tea Ice Cream.
It was yummy especially if you mix it with the coconut meat and the red beans
that were on the plate.  Perfect combo. :)

Burrrp!!  Happy tummy!!

Overall, the experience was great.
We enjoyed the photos, the Maki, and the ice cream.
Too bad that my ramen wasn't available. :(

Next time maybe :)

Anyway, advance Happy Heart's Day everybody!! <3
