Catanduanes Day 3 Itinerary

1. Twin Rock Resort 

It is one of the famous and developed resorts in the province which caters many outdoor activities like kayaking and diving.  The resort got its name from the twin rock formation near the resort.  The site also displays a ravishing view and a relaxing atmosphere because of its luscious green Bermuda grass where one can walk around barefoot, a provision of different trees around the area provides shades against the heat of the sun and excellent placement of the native picnic huts.   Indeed a great spot to beat the summer heat!! ^_^

2. Sakahon Beach in Barangay Bote, Bato

Sakahon Beach, located in the southeastern part of Catanduanes, where it is termed as the most difficult beach to find, is around 45 mins via motorcycle from the town proper.  

This secluded beach is a favorite spot for the locals due to its clear blue waters and golden sand.  When given enough time, one may climb up its mountain to check out the lighthouse and to have a better view of the beach.  

Catanduanes : Sakahon Beach

A beach not so far away from the town, roughly 45 mins, is the Sakahon Beach.

It is located in Brgy Bote in Bato.  

This beach is dubbed as the most difficult to get as this is situated behind a mountain and rough roads.

Upon arrival, you'll notice the golden sand, clear blue water

and the mountain from afar that looks like a sleeping crocodile. 

The unexploited beach is mainly enjoyed by the locals and those tourists

who have done a great research on the province. 

As for us, it was my friend who knew about this. 

We didn't know the directions. 

We used our communications skills to locate it.  Haha!

We've asked several locals about how to get there and 

Whooop!! 

We're here!! Yey!! 

Looking at the magnificent view, 

the sun's rays magnify the golden hue of the sand as it strikes on it. 

Amazing!! 

According to some blogs I've read, 

one may climb up the lighthouse (that's an hour hike) and have a better view of the beach. 

I wish we knew about this so we could have gone up

and checked it out ourselves. 

But we didn't so...

Next time maybe. 

So instead, 

we just savored the view, the sea breeze and the heat of the sun

while we watched the locals dip in the sea water. 

Catanduanes : Twin Rock Beach Resort

After a draining day of exploring Catanduanes, 

we opted to stay overnight in Twin Rock Beach Resort. 

Located in Igang, Catanduanes, it is one of the famous and developed resorts in the province. 

We didn't explore the place when we arrived at the resort because it was a bit dark.

According to the staff, they are still fixing the lighting of the resort as

it was wrecked by a typhoon that hit the area a few months ago. 

So we had to explore the place the next morning.
I won't say much.

We woke up just right in time.  

Had a hearty breakfast and strolled. 

The surroundings were just fantastic.  

The weather was perfect.  

It compliments to the scene.

FYI:

Their socket was located in the ceiling. Haha!

Good thing, I always have with me my extension cord, so it saved us a lot of hassle. :p

And the shore?  It felt like it is located at the end of the rainbow.

Aside from chilling by the shore or under the huts, 

dipping into the clear turquoise waters is a must.  

Others may opt for diving, kayaking, wall climbing, rope obstacles, 

riding ATV's and doing the zip line.  

The choice is yours. :)

As for us, we just enjoyed our dip and took a few strolls in between as the heat was scorching hot. 

After a day's beach bumming, time to head home.
