Zamboanga City: Paseo Del Mar

On our last day, we spent our afternoon in Paseo del Mar,
commonly known as the "baywalk" of Zamboanga.

Paseo del Mar is about 100 feet from Fort Pilar.
It has cemented pavements and benches located on the shoreline
where you can relax and savor what's before you.

Badjao kids in their banca
Usually, in the afternoon, according to my friend you'll often see Badjao kids in their bancas.
They would entice you to throw a coin in the water, and they would dive for it.
They'll try to catch it before it reaches to the bottom.
Cool, isn't it? :)

Then going around the pavements, we spotted these coast guard patrolling around.
I wonder what are they up to. O.O

While we wait for the rest of our friends to join us,
we had Taho in one of the stalls in the park.

The ad was enticing because it showcased a variety of flavors.
We thought that the flavors were made from fresh ingredients; unfortunately, it was not.
They'll mix the "plain" taho with the powder depending on the flavor that you want
and viola, flavored taho!! ^_^

Upon knowing this, we just settled on the regular taho, preferred it hot/warm.
Taho is a Philippine snack food made of soft tofu, arnibal (sweetener and flavoring) and sago (or tapioca) pearls.

Later on, the sun started descending, and our friends arrived.
They were just in time. :)

The view was breathtaking.
I can't stop taking snapshots.
I didn't know why.
It's like one shot is never enough.
OMG!! I am crazy now.  Haha!

While waiting for the sun to disappear from the horizon slowly,
we feasted on Knicker Bocker Glory (Php 65/cup).

Knicker Bocker is a must try whenever you're in Zamboanga City.
It's a delicious and refreshing dessert or snack made with fresh fruits, condensed milk and jello
topped with strawberry ice cream.

It's sooo yummy that I wanted another one, but my tummy's so full.
You know that feeling when your mouth wants some more, but your stomach is saying otherwise?
Ohh, next time maybe!

Pardon me for posting too many photos.
I just can't help it.
I believe in "Sharing is caring."  :p

Afterward, we head back to our hotel, did our final packing and off to the airport.
 Time flew so fast. :(

Hope you did have fun too!  :)
