Chilis

`Have you ever crave for something and yet
you can't have right there and then?
Do you know that feeling?

Well, me? Yeah!
I know how it feels, especially now that it's Ramadan.

It is the time of the year where everything closes,
from shops, restaurants, boutiques, etc.
They have their specific timings for the opening, usually split.  One in the afternoon and the other
at night, after the Maghrib prayer.
Thus, eating in public is a big no-no.
This practice is to pay respect to our fasting (sunrise till sundown), Muslim brothers and sisters.

So yesterday, we thought of eating steak at Chilis.
We invited a few friends but were lazy to go out, so we were only two. :)
We left our home at 6 pm so we could order food and have it ready for prayer time.

While waiting for our orders,
they served us with dates, sambosa (beef and cheese flavor) and gawa, Arabic coffee, to break the fast.

After having a few bites, my friend prayed for a while. :)
When she came back, we're all ready to feed our rumbling tummies. :)

Later on, the rest of our orders came.

We had Full Rack (SR 125) that's good for sharing.
It is beef ribs triple-basted with BBQ sauce, served with homestyle fries and sweet corn on a cab.
By the way, the corn was uber yummey. It reminds me of home.

*FYI: The side dishes can either (aside from the one on the photo) be seasonal veggies, loaded mashed potatoes, citrus chile rice,
broccoli, mashed potatoes with gravy, or black beans.
Depends on your choice. :)

Then we had Texas Cheese Poppers, which are popping hot cheese, perfectly fried and served with a dipping sauce.

For our refreshments, my friend had the Peach Breezer
which is a medley of orange juice and peach with refreshing lemon-lime.

I had the Watermelon Moji-tea (SR23) since I do love drinking tea and I love watermelons. :)

Then we also ordered Santa Fe Quesadillas made of flour tortillas
stuffed with sliced marinated chicken, house-made corn, and black beans salsa,
dressed with Monterey Jack and spicy Santa Fe sauce.
The quesadillas come with house-made Pico de Gallo and sour cream.

Ooohhh,  enough!!
Enough of babbling.  Time to feast. :)

*Notes:
The ribs that we ordered that day wasn't as delectable as the previous dine out we had.  I think the meat was cooked beforehand and reheated hence it became dry.   The juiciness and its savoring taste were gone. :(
