Catanduanes Day 1: Departure From Tabaco CIty

An escapade we didn't plan ahead of time.
My best friend and I were just playing around when this trip came about.
We started out by going to Tabaco City in Albay from Naga City proper.
We took a van for less than Php300 one way
with a travel time of more than an hour.
When we arrived in Tabaco City,
we headed to the port where ferries were off to Catanduanes, either Virac or San Andres.
*Tabaco port still showed the aftermath of a typhoon that struck the province a few months ago.

After a few moments of waiting, the ticketing office finally opened.
One needs to log in the book and pay the tickets.
Then we headed to the ferry. :) Yey!!
We took our seat and took snapshots of the ferry. :)
By the way, the lady beside us in the next photo, we met her in the port.
She's a fellow Bicolana but currently residing in the US.
She just went home for a few weeks in the Philippines to have a brief vacation and
to visit her mother in Catanduanes as well. :)
While we wait for our departure,
we opted to take a look outside and take photos. :)
The ride was smooth.
We were entertained by a movie inside the craft.
Catnaps also invited us and so we just gave in.
Moments later,
we arrived in San Andres Port, our entry point going to Catanduanes.
We didn't have any contacts with any transport,
so we just did what the locals do.
We hopped on top of the jeepney and enjoyed the ride.
Yeah, it was fun.
I miss taking my seat on top of the roof of a jeepney.
I used to do it back when I was still in college, during our squad practices. :)
The spot offered an outstanding view of the province.
Perfect for taking lots of photographs, landscapes or not. :)
Time moved so fast.
Least that we know, we're already at the jeepney terminal.
There, our driver was waiting for us.
We then head to our friend's house, took a little rest and head to Puraran Beach.
