Dubbed as the Surfing Capital of Catanduanes,
Puraran beach in Baras offers the majestic waves which the province truly boast.
The serene place is not only for surfers but also for beach lovers as well.
We woke up the following day in a breezy cold morning.
The sun was hiding behind the bright clouds.
We knew that any moment there would be cloudburst.
From our nipa huts, we headed to one of the cottages near the shore.
We admired the view before us, the waves, the sand, the mountains...
We took in everything before the predicted rainfall.
By the way, there are two resorts to choose from, the Majestic Puraran Beach Resort or
Pacific Surfer's Paradise in case you intend to stay for the night or longer.
Later on,
my best friend and I decided to walk around and explore the place.
Haha, the gloomy clouds that were about to burst? O.O
We waited for the majestic waves to show up.
But I guess they're a bit shy just like Mr. Sun.
I read on one blog that the "majestic" waves come during August until October.
The waves favor the professional and advanced surfers only although the amateur can try them with precautions, of course.

Our short walk was interrupted by the showers.
We had to rush back inside the cottage or else. haha!
The drizzles took its time,
pouring down its heart's content. :)
Once achieved,
the sky gradually became clear and blue.
More picture worthy.
The sun also started showing up,
glistening the sea water and the surroundings.
It's nice to submerge yourself into the waters, as it was so inviting,
but it was too cold for me and
I don't want to have goosebumps everywhere.
So we only let our feet touched the sea.
Then we had a hearty breakfast.
Fixed ourselves and our stuff.
And left the place.
Thank you, Puraran Beach!!
T'was nice meeting you! :)
Surfing next time maybe.
Now off to PAG-ASA Weather Station.
